Emergency Transformer Change

PBA came to the rescue when a 33/11kV distribution transformer failed.  

Our expertise was utilised to help determine the cause of failure and the health of the unit.  PBA were able to then source a spare unit from another of our clients to enable redundancy at this substation to 'sure up' the security of electricity supply. We worked alongside the local team to make the neccessary modifications to make the unit 'fit'.

The failed unit was transported to our Te Aroha transformer workshop where it was determined it was an ideal candidate for overhaul.  Once the repairs were made and the unit refreshed, PBA returned it to site and helped restore things back to 'normal'.
